Hester

What is the ONLY thing that anyone would ever associate this name with?  Think!  Think back to school when you were forced to read bullshit stories that you had no interest in.  Yep – Hester Prynne, the spread-legged slut from the book The Scarlett Letter.

Nice choice, Mom & Dad!

Not to mention Hester, pedophilic girlfriend of Chester the Molester, of the “Hustler” comic of the same name.

Well, I hear Peter Jackson’s doing a Mortal Engines movie, so now she’ll also be a scarred-face psycho killer!

This has to be one of the UGLIEST girls’ names out there (that isn’t made up). It’s a form of Esther, which is still pretty terrible, but at least it isn’t HESTER!

I disagree with what you said about Hester. If you actually paid attention in English class, you would know that she isn’t just an adulterer. In fact, that’s more or less the WHOLE ENTIRE POINT OF THE BOOK. The Scarlet Letter shows that Hester was a strong woman, certainly stronger than any man, and that she was able to survive and raise her daughter, even though she was hated by society. So, while I strongly dislike the name Hester, don’t be hating on Hester Prynne!

They were obviously too busy bullying kids over their names to have been reading The Scarlet Letter.

Childish people often don’t multi-task well.

Read it, hated it. Besides – just because a name appears in some old ass book means it’s a good name? Christ – do you really have your name buried that deep in the sand?

Knew a girl named Hester. Preachers daughter, her nickname was Hester the Molester (for the very reason you think).
