Khrystyna

by Lemonjello Redenbacher on May 8, 2010

Haven’t had one of these normal-names-turned-aborted-fetuses in a while.  Christina used to be a dandy name.  It was pretty — had a nice ring to it.  And everyone knew how to spell it when necessary.

Fast forward to 2010 where everyone just has to name their little baby something just a little bit special, so their Mommy and Daddy friends can pat them on the back and tell them they are so unique!  YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You people make me sick.

I had a neighbour called ‘Christabelle’. It’s bad as it is. What’s next? Khrystabehlle? By the way, I love Stupid Kid Names =D

Actually Khrystyna is not a “creative” spelling, it’s the Ukranian spelling. If she’s from Ukraine, then this is perfectly fine.

Hi, Amanda is right, also Krystyna is the Polish equivalent. People see a license with “Krystyna” and they think the parents were creative, but it is just the way it spells in Poland.
