Amadeo is a common Italian name. Some Amadeos are: Amadeo Modigliani, Italian painter and sculptor; Amadeo Avogadro, Italian physicists after whom the Avogadro constant is named for, etc.

I am Italian and I can assure you that the italian spelling is AmEdeo, not Amadeo. (Amedeo Modigliano, Amedeo Avogadro…all the Amedeos).
Plus: is that AmAdeo italian or does he have an italian grandfather? If not well… no excuses, it is a stupid name.

It’s not really that bad if you spell it right (and I’m assuming the incorrect spelling isn’t why you’ve added it to the list). I mean it’s an Italian name, and I’ve said this on another comment already, but you can take almost any non-American name and say it sounds shitty in America, it’s not really a mind blower.

Yep — you’re exactly right.

Whether this is a common name in Italy or not, it will still be a stupid name in the US because everyone my age will yell “ROCK ME AMADEO!” when they see the name. Trust me on this.
