Incredible.  I read that this name can be used for a boy OR a girl.  Well, of course it can!  When you’re just picking random words out of a dictionary to name your kid, you can choose which gender it best suits.

For example, I would say that the name Resolution would be best for a boy, as would Video.  Slogan is definitely a girl’s name, along with Acorn, Pronunciation and Secondary.

Mummy forgot to tell those people that old Latin names are used for pets. Lux is a male name for a dog.

Exactly! My black Labrador’s name is Pollux. Sometimes I call him Lux for short. Definitely a pet’s name!

“Look at me, I’m so smart, I named my child after the Latin word for light, or after the animé ‘Lux Pain’.” Either way you’re a nerd and your kid’s getting the crap beat out of him in school.

My niece’s name is Lux. Her middle name? Electra! Her last name? Smith.

Dad’s reason for naming her this? Well, with the last name Smith she needed an unusual first name. Right?

She has a brother (Zuriel), and a sister (Oceana). Poor kids.
