This is the name of a BOY! A real, live boy has been named Alix. I am beside myself.

Alix of hesse was the Czarina of Russia, wife of Nicholas the last Czar. If you are Russian it’s not weird.

Actually, it’s EXACTLY the same. “If you’re from X, then common name in X is not weird, so it’s not weird anywhere.”

I did get a 97% in my statistics class, though, when I was an undergrad (that was before I went on to get my doctorate). So maybe you’re right — maybe that 3% I got wrong was “talking shit” day that I missed.
Not to mention Czarina Alexandra was a GIRL! Alix is on a boy, therefore it sucks because it’s a sissy spelling (yay alliteration!)
