Richter

by Lemonjello Redenbacher on July 15, 2009

I know I sound like a crotchety old man here (imagine that) — but what in the fuck has this world come to?  Fucking Richter?  As a first name?

I tried to research this, and shockingly the only place I found any reference to it as a first name was in one of those parenting rags.  Their take on it was this, “A boy with this sharp-edged German name will cause seismic shocks wherever he goes.”

Fuckin-A right he will.  Seismic shocks  on his face and torso from the fists of the mean little bastards at his school.

This means ‘judge’ (the job) in German and is a pretty common last name. Why anyone would want to name their child like that is beyond me though.
