Don’t just gloss over that one — look closely.  It’s not Jeremiah — it’s Jemeriah.

This is a new move on the part of Mom and Pops — one we haven’t seen before.  We’ve seen the “add a letter”, and the “replace one letter with a different, random letter.”  We’ve also seen the “intentional misspell.”  This one is the “juxtapose two letters in the name” bit.  Clever…very clever indeed.

The problem is that the kid will undoubtedly be call Jeremiah 99% of the time, thus virtually destroying your little selfish work of art.  Don’t fuck with a perfectly good name.  Just leave the letters in the order in which the Hebrews intended them to be.

But no, Jeremiah is way too common for mummy and daddy… Jemeriah sounds a tonne better! (NOT). It looks awful… like something you pull out of your shower drain.
