Luv Joy Seamon

by Lemonjello Redenbacher on July 6, 2009

Don’t waste your time going to Snopes or some other urban legends site — this one is real.  I stumbled on it somewhere and did all of the research for you.

I guess it goes without saying that her parents were evil motherfuckers who were obviously a) hippies and b) in the porn business.  I can’t think of a worse way to name your kid if your last name is Seamon — besides maybe I. Chug or Phil MeWith.

She did survive childhood — although it must have been brutal — and is now an adult.  Wanna know what negative effects it had on Luv Seamon?  She has a master’s degree in dance movement (apparently there is such a thing)  and loves contact improv.  Ugh…poor woman.  Poor, poor woman…

Phil McKracken is another good one for the list.

Wow — perhaps you could try being sensitive. Did it occur to you that, since this is a real person, she might find this and be hurt? Or that maybe, though her parents named her something unique, they raised her right…and your parents clearly failed, but I’m sure they gave you a top-notch, horribly boring name. By the way, I searched her name because I’m interested in her classes. It’s unfortunate that this is the first thing that came up.

Unfortunate for you, maybe – but to me it means my SEO guy is doing a hell of a job!

The best part? I know her, she’s an aerial dancer (trapeze and silks) and a really awesome counselor. We always make jokes about her name, and she’s really chill. And yes, her parents were hippies.

Like Enya, I danced for years with Luv at a contact improv jam in Chicago. Somehow her middle and last names never came up, until the last jam, when she left Chicago to get married. She made it a perfect, memorable joke. She’s a dance therapist, and in the Cycropia aerial dance group in Madison, Wi, which is a pretty awesome group.

Sooo, why’s a guy with the name Dongle making fun of other people’s names? Glass houses, dude!

That’s a really great story about dancing and therapy. Really soothing.
