Askel

I shit you not.

This is the most unattractive name that I have ever heard.  Ever.  The only thing that it has going for it is that it is apparently attached to a boy and not a girl.  Hey…that’s something, right?

What do you think the mean little boys at Askel’s school are gonna come up with for a nickname?  My bet is Askel the Asshole.  But kids today are pretty clever and sinister — it may be something much more brutal.

I hope more than anything in the world that little Askel has a halfway decent middle name to go by when he is old enough to shun his parents and make his own decisions.  More than likely, however, his middle name is something like Borscht, Carburetor, Haagenfrudel or Cunt.

I may be a lot of things, but I’m equal opportunity when it comes to hating bad namers. Men are just as responsible as women for shitty names, but for whatever reason they don’t often come onto message boards and discuss it, so I can’t really call them out by example.

As for cleaning up my mouth, well…fuck you. How’s that for clean?

I swear reading this makes me wonder if I have an alter ego. I have always said, Tacky is UNIVERSAL, and people that name their kids fucked up shit like this, well, I rest my case.

Apparently Askel is an old Norse name, but shit knows if that is where the parents got the name from or not. If I had to guess, I would say not. The likelihood that the kid came from stupid parents who wanted a “unique name” for their “unique child” is far, far greater than the likelihood that his parents are immigrants northern Europe, Asartu (followers of Norse paganism), or even just plain flipped through the Norse section of their baby names book combined.
